Roma Eye Frattesi as Inter Exit Looms

Roma have renewed their pursuit of Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi, as the Italian international grows increasingly frustrated with his limited playing time at San Siro.
The 25-year-old midfielder, who came through Roma's youth academy, was notably left on the bench throughout Inter's 5-0 Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain - a decision that has reportedly intensified his desire to leave the club.
Growing Frustration at Inter
Since joining from Sassuolo in 2023, Frattesi has primarily served as a backup player. His situation worsened after being omitted from the Champions League final squad, despite scoring crucial goals against Bayern Munich and Barcelona in earlier rounds.
Sources indicate Frattesi is "100% likely to leave" if Simone Inzaghi remains as manager, following a reported confrontation between player and coach.
Roma's Renewed Interest
According to Calciomercato.com, Roma have revived their pursuit of their former academy player, competing with newly-crowned Serie A champions Napoli for his signature.
The Giallorossi previously attempted to sign Frattesi in January but couldn't meet Inter's €40m valuation. However, reports suggest Inter may now accept a slightly reduced fee.
Potential Deal Structure
Roma could sweeten the deal by including Nicola Zalewski in negotiations. The Polish winger is currently on loan at Inter with a €6.5m purchase option.
Competition remains fierce, with Napoli and several unnamed Premier League clubs also monitoring the situation, according to Italian media reports.
