Everton Chase Southampton Starlet Dibling

Everton's £27m bid for Southampton's rising star Tyler Dibling has been rejected, but the Merseyside club remains determined to secure the 19-year-old winger's signature.

The England Under-21 international has emerged as one of the most promising young talents in English football after making 33 Premier League appearances for Southampton last season, scoring twice despite the club's relegation. His standout performance included a memorable FA Cup brace against Swansea City in January.

Several Premier League clubs are monitoring Dibling's situation, but Everton appear most serious in their pursuit. The Toffees are expected to return with an improved offer for the highly-rated attacker.

Manager David Moyes has publicly expressed concerns about Everton's slow transfer progress this summer. While the club has completed some business - including the £27m signing of striker Thierno Barry from Villarreal, young left-back Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich, and reserve keeper Mark Travers - they've lost five experienced starters including key players Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Abdoulaye Doucoure.

This follows Everton's earlier failed attempt to sign Kenny Tete from Fulham, with the Dutch defender choosing to extend his stay at Craven Cottage instead.
