Chelsea Star Slams PSG's Post-Match Meltdown

Chelsea striker Joao Pedro has accused Paris St-Germain of "losing their heads" following their heated Club World Cup final clash on Sunday. The 23-year-old Brazilian found himself at the center of a post-match altercation involving PSG manager Luis Enrique after Chelsea's dominant 3-0 victory at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The incident occurred after PSG's Joao Neves received a red card in the dying minutes for pulling Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella's hair, sparking tensions between both teams. Pedro, who scored Chelsea's third goal with a clever dinked finish in the 43rd minute, chose to downplay the confrontation.

"I don't need to talk about them," Pedro stated. "Everyone wants to win, and in the end, I think they lost their composure. But that's football. What matters is we won the tournament, and now we should focus on celebrating our achievement."

PSG manager Luis Enrique acknowledged the heated emotions, describing them as "the result of match pressure." The Spanish tactician, whose team was aiming to add Club World Cup glory to their recent domestic treble and Champions League triumph, explained his role in the incident.

"In high-pressure situations like these, emotions run high for everyone," Enrique said. "My intention was simply to separate the players to prevent escalation. I saw [Chelsea manager Enzo] Maresca pushing others, and we needed to diffuse the situation."

The victory marked Chelsea's triumph in the inaugural expanded Club World Cup format, with goals from Cole Palmer complementing Pedro's strike. While the post-match scenes dominated headlines, both teams emphasized moving forward from the incident.

"These situations should be avoided," Enrique added. "But under such competitive pressure, they're sometimes inevitable. What's important is that we maintained control when it mattered most."
